I like water melon. Not because of the health benefits. It is just that I like the taste and texture. The truth is, water melon is rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, folic acid, magnesium, zinc and various other minerals. For growers and sellers, it provides them with Vitamin M – the money.

Similar to pumpkin, water melon is a type of plant that crawls and climbs. With a proper support such as a rack, it will grow and have fruits above the ground. Without support, the heavy fruit will damage the plant.

For me, I just like the fruit and consume it either raw or after converted into juice. It is not because someone told me that melon (especially water melon) is good for me in term of health benefits. It is just that I like the taste and texture.

The truth is, water melon is rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, folic acid, magnesium, zinc and various other minerals. For growers and sellers, it provides them with Vitamin M – the money.

Some of the health benefits of water melon are:-
- Cures headache. For growers, money is the best cure for their financial headache.
- Sickness related to lung and skin diseases are also said to be curable by consuming water melon.
- Melon juice stabilizes blood pH away from acidity.
- Lycopene is a type of anti-oxidant that presence in water melon. Especially high in the red type compare to yellow type water melon.

This article is not intended to discuss and elaborate about medical benefits of water melon. Nor how it is grown or what type of soil is best to grow it.

But rather to share some of creativity associated with the fruit itself.

Other than the yellow water melon, Vietnamese Melon and Honey Dew are other type of melon, but not so popular and common compared to the red type.
